The Museum of the University of Alicante has among its main objectives reappraising and promoting its activities, not only as the exhibition space that has been so far but also as multipurpose space for the cultural revitalization of both the university community and society at large.
According to this line of action, MUA facilities become a place to develop music and dance workshops, concerts, theatre as well as academic activities such as seminars, conferences and Master’s classes.
MUA has a new cultural information point available (MIC), as well as a reference library to search for exhibition catalogues and art journals. Also, lectures, workshops, film screenings , concerts, etc. has been designed as complementary cultural activities.
In short, MUA has been shaped as a cultural and dynamic engine aimed at both training the university community and cultural diffusion.

On Saturday, June 6th, the MUA presented the awards for the 26th Educational Workshop Competition, which was attended by 40 schools from the province of Alicante, with a total of 2,258 participants. 85 schools received awards or were selected (30 from preschool and primary schools and 55 from secondary and high schools). Many thanks for your involvement, enthusiasm, creativity, and imagination.

The collaboration between the MUA (University of Alicante Museum), the Lifelong Learning Program, and the Peripatéticos group has once again borne fruit in the third edition of "On Supervised Freedom." This initiative brings works from our museum's collection to the forefront, exhibiting, discussing, and highlighting them over a two-month period. This edition is particularly special, as the three selected pieces are by the renowned artist Pepe Azorín, who had close ties to the University of Alicante and recently passed away.
