MUA, Museum of the University of Alicante / Vice-Rectorate for Culture, Sport and University Extension
The purpose of this call for applications is to award, through a competitive process, five production grants for the development of a visual arts project at the University of Alicante Museum (MUA). Two additional grants, linked to the production grants, will cover travel, accommodation, and living expenses.
With this initiative, the MUA aims to promote artistic research and creation, discover new talent, produce exhibitions, revitalize cultural activity, and contribute to the promotion of contemporary art.
The residencies will take place from September 14 to 25, 2026, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with the goal of establishing the MUA as a center for visual arts production.
The MUA commits to holding a group exhibition of the projects developed in the Sempere Room during the year of the call for applications to disseminate and promote the latest visual arts.
The residence project will have a cross-cutting and international character, linking its development with other initiatives of the University of Alicante.
